About Us
Our Aims
Established in September 2021, the Chapter of Haematology is governed by the Constitution of the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia and the By-laws of the College of Pathologists. It is an association that aims to create awareness and updates in the field of haematology through education and collaborations for anatomical pathologists and trainees from all sectors in Malaysia.
Our Objectives

To be an association for haematologists and trainees in Malaysia.

To inspire, encourage and empower pathologists with interest in haematology to achieve their professional and personal goals.

To collaborate with similar bodies within and outside of Malaysia.

To promote and maintain the highest moral, ethical and professional standards in the practice of haematology.

To represent and express the views and opinions of its members, and to advocate for them in all relevant committees and sub-committees of the College, the Academy, the Ministry of Health of Malaysia, universities, and other government or semi-government agencies on matters related to haematology

To promote education, training, and scientific research in the science and art of haematology among pathologists, trainees, and prospective trainees

To promote publications of scientific papers in the field of haematology.

To conduct professional programmes and activities pertaining to haematology

To educate the public on the role of haematologists in wellness and illness.
Our Logo & Motto
The crest of the Chapter of Haematology reflects the key values of the field. Red represents blood and haematology, blue stands for knowledge and learning, and black signifies professionalism and integrity. The symbols: a microscope, blood cells, and a DNA helix, highlight the science, research, and progress in haematology. Guided by the motto “Nurture, Progressive, Excellence,” the crest embodies the commitment to growth, innovation, and excellence in practice, research, and education.
